C-PLUS TECHNOLOGY

New biofuel production technology

C - Plus

The C-PLUS technology is a new production technology for optimizing the quality of fuel produced from wood, especially pellets. It is a process that analyses the feedstock and evaluates key parameters throughout the production cycle. Based on the current values, the production parameters are operatively adjusted. As a result, the quality of the final product is optimised, increasing efficiency without the need to add binders. The aim is to achieve the highest possible efficiency in the combustion of the final product in power plants. This modern technology is nowadays used in pellets called PECKA.

Monitoring parameters

A key feature of C-PLUS technology is the continuous monitoring of key parameters during the processing of the wood mass. The most important factors monitored include the moisture content of the input and output raw materials, the composition of the wood pulp and the physico-chemical properties of these raw materials.

Humidity

C-PLUS technology focuses on the moisture content of the wood mass, which is a key factor affecting the energy value of wood fuel. Reducing the moisture content to an optimum level significantly increases the calorific value of the fuel above 17 MJ/kg, resulting in more efficient combustion, higher calorific value and lower fuel consumption. With continuous monitoring of moisture content during production, it is possible to react and adjust drying parameters operationally to ensure that the final product has the required moisture content for optimum energy output.

Composition of raw materials

Different types of wood have different chemical compositions, which affect their calorific value and combustion behaviour. The C-PLUS technology works with actual values and analyses of the input raw materials. The wood for pellet production is usually mainly raw wood from deciduous or coniferous trees. Where conifers predominate, their analysis is particularly important. Coniferous trees such as pine, spruce or fir often have a relatively high resin content. This can positively affect the calorific value of the fuel

Ash content

However, a higher resin content can sometimes mean more ash. This is compensated for by a higher calorific value, which is above 17 MJ/kg when the pellet quality is good. This means higher heating efficiency. The fuel produced is then an efficient and powerful heat source. The C-PLUS technology allows the composition of the input wood mass to be dynamically adjusted to ensure that the wood mixture is optimal for efficient combustion. This results in minimal emissions and maximum energy yield.

Modifying parameters

The C-PLUS technology allows flexible response to changes not only in the composition of the feedstock, but also in other production conditions. On the basis of continuous monitoring of the production process, parameters such as drying temperature, processing time and choice of technological parameters are adjusted to achieve optimum quality of the final product.

Efficiency

One of the key benefits of C-PLUS technology is that it allows high combustion efficiency to be achieved without the need to add ballasts or binders that could adversely affect fuel quality and emission parameters. This approach significantly reduces production costs and improves the environmental performance of the fuel. High fuel quality leading to more efficient combustion also means lower emissions of CO2 and other harmful substances into the atmosphere. This contributes to the sustainability and environmental responsibility of the entire production process.

Use

C-PLUS technology is an advanced way to optimize fuel production in raw wood and improve its energy value. By monitoring and the operational adjustment of parameters, it allows maximum combustion efficiency to be achieved without the use of additives. This system increases the efficiency of energy installations and at the same time contributes to reducing the environmental impact associated with the use of wood as fuel. This system has been used for the first time for pellets with the trade name PECKA.
